FAQs

How long does my property remain on the DIY Sell web site for?
Your property will remain on the DIY Sell web site until sold or withdrawn from the market. You have complete control over when it is removed via the Owner’s Administration Area.

Are there any post sale fees?
No. Everything that is included in the package that you select is included in the price. There are no post sale fees or commissions.

How do potential buyers contact me?
Potential buyers can contact you via email or telephone.
Your email address will not be displayed on your ‘live’ listing profile. Instead, a link saying ‘click here to email owner’ will be visible to help reduce spam and keep your email address private.

Is the content of the site current?
One of the unique features of DIY Sell is that potential buyers do not have to wade through endless properties that are already sold or have been taken off the market.
Owners are required to confirm their details monthly, to ensure that properties that have been sold, or withdrawn, are no longer displayed.

What format do my images need to be in?
You have the ability to upload up to 25 photos to your ‘live’ listing.
Your photos need to be in digital JPG format and must be no larger than 4MB each.

How do I pay for listing my property on DIY Sell?
Payment can be securely made by credit card, direct debit, cheque or money order.
If you choose to pay by online by credit card, please note that your privacy and security is very important to us and your details are protected by our SSL (secure socket layer) encryption.

How long will it take for my details to be visible on the site?
If you pay by credit card, your listing will be visible to potential buyers immediately after you finish the ‘Add Listing’ process. If you pay by another method, your details will be activated as soon as we receive the cleared funds.

How long does it take for my sign to be delivered?
Once you have ‘signed off’ on the artwork for your sign, it will be printed and dispatched within 5 working days. We use Fastway Couriers to deliver the sign to your door. Delivery time will depend on where you live in Australia and can be tracked online.

Can I change my listing details once I have added my listing?
Yes. In our Owner Administration Area you can changes any of your details at any time, as well as check your statistics.

What do I need in order to add my listing?
Adding your property to DIY Sell has never been easier now that we have a step by step process to help you along. In preparation for adding your listing, we recommend that you organise the following things:
  1. Write a detailed description of your property. We suggest that you write the description in a word processing program in order to check your spelling and grammar and then copy and paste the text into the appropriate area in Step 1. For further help in writing your description, you may like to visit http://www.thecopycat.com.au
  2. Choose your photos and collate them all in a folder on your computer. Most people take photos with a digital camera so they are already in JPG format and ready to upload. Alternatively, scan the images in and save them as JPG’s so they are ready to upload in Step 2.
  3. Credit Card details (if you are paying online).
